We have been managing, thank you. :) We haven’t lost my enthusiasm, but took a step back to take a breather and work on how to go about the future plans. We’re still going back and forth with our insurance company. I know for sure we won’t be starting up any major projects again until the new garage is built, we’re hoping that will be soon! :)
Thank you. She won’t be sent to the crusher. While her front end is pretty wrecked, the rest is pretty salvageable. I’m sketching up some ideas. She may end up a purist’s nightmare, but she will be hitting the road again, someday. :)
June 1, 2013. Persephone’s rear end and interior the day after the fire. The tarp over her back end was apparently flame retardant so that part is noticeably less damaged. I can’t believe that pretty interior is just gone.
Absolutely devastated. I ALMOST dragged her out of the garage a couple days ago so I am so upset with myself for trying to hide her for the upcoming hail storms.
We lost all but two vehicles and a truck we were borrowing. Hearse, Fleetline, parts cars, a few 1950’s engines, tranny, a lot of parts, storage, motorcycle, scooter ..all of our tools.
The tornados missed us but the related storms knocked a power line down on our garage. We were hiding in a friend’s basement and when the tornado passed we headed home to grab something and I saw the orange glow in the backyard and arrived just in time to see my babies burn.
