We bolted the motor and transmission together outside of the hearse at about 1AM and managed to get them back inside with the help of Hef’s much larger cherry picker. We’re almost there. It was rather late.. seems like someone had the sleepy sillies. :)

Took some laquer thinner and Scotch Brite pads to the driver’s side landau panel. The black spray paint is off. Still have most of the factory paint and primer to remove.

The hearse being on the grass left us some issues on finally removing the disconnected motor. We pushed the Sierra back and hooked it to the hearse and bit by pit used the pulley to drag it out from underneath the lifted motor. Not the ideal way to manage it, but we made do with what we had.
Phase one of the engine swap is complete.
